A Few Technical Challenges For Religious Scholars (Mullahs) Like Mr. Ghamdi and Mohammad Ali Mirza

By: Published On:
Pursuant to the artcile 6 title “Freedom Of Expression”, initial few lines of which I am including below, that is part of the chapter title “Human Rights In Islam: Rights Qf Citizen In An Islamic State”, I would like to ask following questions to all of the major scholars of Islam, especially peopel like Mr. Ghamdi and Engineer Mohammad Ali Mirza that what scientifically correct answers to the following questions exist that would align the answer perfectly to what has been stated in Quran and Sunah on these matters.
Islam gives the right of freedom of thought and expression to all citizens of the Islamic State on the condition that it should be used for the propagation of virtue and truth and not for spreading evil and wickedness. This Islamic concept of freedom of expression is much superior to the concept prevalent in the West. Under no circumstances would Islam allow evil and wickedness to be propagated. It also does not give anybody the right to use abusive or offensive language in the name of criticism. The right to freedom of expression for the sake of propagating virtue and righteousness is not only a right in Islam but an obligation. One who tries to deny this right to his people is openly at war with God, the All-Powerful. And the same thing applies to the attempt to stop people from evil.

I must add that I have only done a cursory search. I believe that a more thorough and involved search for questionable or outright incorrect stuff would certainly bring to fore much more than just a flaw or two.

For example, in 51.49 (I do not know how Quarnic verses are numbered. I am just quoting the numbers that I have found on the Internet), Quran says:

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

All of the possible translations of the aforementioned that I have found say that it translates to following: “And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect.”

For starters, unicellular organisms do not exist in pairs. Appart from unicellular organisms that are not classified on the basis of gender, there are at least a few multicellular species that are classified as either male or female and their opposite sex does not exist. Now this evidence squarely contradicts Quran. Read the following four pages:

  1. Quranic Claim Of Everything Is Created In Pairs — You Will Need Tor Or Google Translate To Visit This Page.
  2. Unicellural Organisms And Asexual Reproduction
  3. Oxford Academic — BioBriefs by John C Ryhan

Also according to Quran — I have not been able to find the exact verse — on the day of judgement, the sun will rise from the west.

According to science’s best estimates, life would cease to exist on the planet earth long before anything of this sort happens. According to cosmologists, in a couple of billion years time, the Sun will start to expand, and it will eventually become so large that it would engulf earth. Even long before Sun has expanded to the size where it would eventually engulf the earth, long before that happens, life on the planet earth would have ceased to exist because as soon as the Sun starts to expand, the temperatures on the planet earth would increase to such a level that all of the seas would evaporate, the plant life would stop growing, and all other life forms will die of heat and lack of access to water. So there would be nobody left to witness anything of the sort that the Quran has mentioned. Scientists do agree on the fact that earth is slowing down at an infinitesimal rate, but for someone to be around to witness the stopping of earth and rising of the sun from the other side is simply not possible.
